I noticed today that Kubuntu's menu's lacking a hibernate option.
According to this post about hibernate, the Ubuntu platform expectation is that
it is unsupported:

I'm slowing my roll about changing the configuration. After discussing
this further, there are a couple reasons why this is probably bad:
1. It will mean that users used to using the Erase Disk option in Lubuntu will

One caveat with Calamares is that while it supposedly tries to unmount
before getting drive information, this doesn’t always work. One reason
why is because the Ubuntu platform auto mounts swaps. That said, I’d try
to check what’s mounted and unmount before starting the installer.

it a default for livecd-rootfs.
Anyways, like I said, it's not a Calamares issue, so pointing it at
kubuntu-meta so they can choose to add it to their seed if they like.

Generally speaking, old hardware tends to be rather well supported in
the kernel but if it's a proprietary driver you need, it may be the
manufacturer no longer supports it.

I'm confident this has to do with the switch to deb822 sources. With
Noble, the deb822-compliant /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu.sources
exists, but /etc/apt/sources.list does not. I created it with some
relevant lines (not deb822-compliant, of course) and reopened software-
properties-qt and found

This is not a bug. The program is functioning as intended and follows the
behavior of at least a couple other image viewers. Gwenview is the same, for

/var on a separate partition. I tried to do a much more simple scheme

FWIW I just did an install alongside with UEFI and secure boot.
Admittedly the first OS was another Lubuntu and not Windows, but still,
it's not clear what conditions are necessary to reproduce this nor what
the exact symptoms are.

After much testing, it was determined that the installer-prompt was
properly setting the locale, so it's not the issue. Calamares did indeed
pick up on the changed locale (obvious through the session.log) but then
changed the language used based on GeoIP data. I think the reason why

the way up until Jammy:
