I am attempting to upgrade to version 10.10 on my netbook, and it keeps
giving an error. This error is reported when using both the GUI and
from a terminal using do-release-upgrade:

Still didn't work, but I think it went further than it did before.
Attaching the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade.

I used the commands from Maddmaxx, and the upgrade worked as expected.
