Public bug reported:
I used to be able to launch multiple viewer windows from virt-manager on
different virtual machines, but now it will only let me launch one and
additional requests to open a window are ignored. For me this is undesirable
behavior.
Description:Ubuntu 18.10
Release:
Please close this ticket. I determined the issue was compiz no longer
sending the mouse clicks through, not an issue with virt-manager itself.

This bug can be closed. I determined the issue was a permissions
problem and not a package problem. My mail systems started out as
CentOS6 machines, CentOS6 used the uid of smartlst for the list owners,
and consequently the suid uid of various programs had to be smartlst.
When I switched to
Tried the most recent proposed kernel, 5.2.0-8 today, still gets stuck at the
target reboot reached.
Not a huge deal at this point as the magic-sys-request is working so I can at
least force the reboot from the keyboard at that point.

I still have not upgraded motherboard bios / microcode as last attempt
failed, but now, without microcode from Ubuntu being installed but with
a 4.18.0 kernel I still have installed because networking breaks with
5.0.x kernels on this machine, overclocking is again working.

This appears to have been an issue with the upgrade process. I re-
installed marco and it corrected this problem.

Title:
With Marco compositor
The issue seems to be one of start-up parameters because if I login to
mate, with the screen all scrambled, then do alt+f2 and type in compiz
--replace, and the screen fixes itself, but then go into mate-tweak and
switch back to Marco, everything behaves as expected.

Public bug reported:
Everything was working under 19.04, then I upgraded to 19.10 Eoan Ermine, now
the video is scrambled under either Mate or LXQT if marco window display
manager / compositor is used. If I switch to openbox on lxqt then it works
okay. I can not find any command line method
Thank you.

I'm going to need a bit of help with respect to where to find old
canonical kernel packages so I can find at what point it broke exactly.
I did compile 5.0.9 from kernel.org source and it does reboot properly
so I do know for certain that it is a kernel issue.
Actually there was petiboot which I never did get successfully working.
Wanted to be able to kexec-boot because the BIOS in this old Mac is so very
painfully slow.

Well I've managed to screw up my machine massively and don't know how
to get it back to a sane state.
I deleted what I thought were all traces of 5.0.9 that I had
compiled and re-ran update-grub2, then I installed:
rw-r--r-- 1 nanook rmtonly 10877978 Apr 22 23:20
Grub and Grub2 are installed, no others, not lilo, etc. I do not know
WHERE it is finding 5.0.9 at, no remnants in the boot, modules, initramfs
directories.

I could not find what was going wrong with update-grub2, it showed it
doing the right thing but did not alter the boot screen. I purged grub and
all it's configuration from my workstation then re-installed, now it is
working again.
I installed 4.15.18 and systemctl reboot is not getting
