Sharing a symlink using samba makes all content pointed to by that
symlink readonly. However, when sharing the folder above that symlink,
and navigating into it, all the content is read/write as it should be.

Ah ha: The problem goes away when I build poppler-bindings with cairo
support.

I had 2 Hauppauge 150 cards in the system. When I removed them then
Ubuntu would load and upgrade properly. I was then able to put the cards
back in and the system would boot and not hang. The cards are not in the
same slots, don't know if slot placement matters.

I've been having problems with this card in Linux since I got this
computer (back in late 2004). It's been hit or miss and lots of
tweaking (in the pre-PulseAudio) days.
And in Windows Vista it's almost as bad.
So, I decided to switch to a (hopefully) better card. I'm

I did a complete new install with the Hauppauge cards in their current
slots and everything worked fine including the upgrades. The crappy
X1600 card is another problem, I'm out to buy a Nvidia card.

The GDM theme changes was made to fit the wishes of sabdfl
And they stink. It *really* looked great about a month ago. Fortunatly
(based on past experince) I saved that .deb
But in the end this is sabdfl-tu. And we have been various shades of
*brown* since the getgo...
Easy workaround though.
Make sure that you have python-gnome2-extras installed. (Restart sonata
after you install it.)

I am seeing this bug too, only seems to be on firefox, both on Thinkpad
r50e and on HP pavillion DV6500, thought I was just knocking the middle
scroll button to start. This happens about every 20 right clicks or so,
machine doesn't have to be under load, all latest updates installed on

Well, I tried both those commands and didn't have any luck. It DID add
a 4th option to the resolution list (1152x768 @ 55 Hz) that I didn't
select when running the command. And it also doesn't work at all. My
display says Video mode not supported when I select it. It times out
and goes back to
I found some troubleshooting documentation that helped out. I wound up
editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. In the Monitor Section, I put in
the HorizSync and VertRefresh values for the Hyundai L90D+ display that
I looked up on their web site: HorizSync 31-80, VertRefresh 56-75. I
rebooted and

I am using a fully updated ubuntu hardy with 2.6.24-19 and my default gateway
is still being replaced or a second default gateway is added with the IP
address for the ATT Tilt. Unplugging the device removes the default gateway.
Fixed by adding this to /etc/network/interfaces:
auto eth3
iface
It was one message in one account. But there was a problem with my ISP.
I don't know what it was, but all of my email eventually started coming
down. I can no longer reproduce the problem. This issue is closed.
