i was able to fix the using installing linux headers for the curren version using sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) , before that installed linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic it's working well...now.. thanks... -- When headphones are plugged in, the speaker does not get

is not being used by the alsa as it is showing it using GENERIC driver. and the driver Conexant is not even supported by ALSA http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Main so how can i go about this ?? do i need to live with this problem or there is any hope.. thanks much -Amit Sharma -- When
