again, first vanishing completely of the 'launcher', at one of the next
startups, even the top bar, where you can turn off the machine or
suspend or restart or log out, was gone and when unity completes its

Thank you so much for your reply of today! In between I'm running on
16.04 and it's a miracle, that I still can do my work on this
installation (never change a running horse). I think a complete new
install of ubuntu would cure most glitches I experience from time to

I am seeing this the very first time, sorry I'm not able to add

So far, I have not noticed any glitch on my system (trusty tahr, amd64),
both installations - 1. tkhunter plus 2. tripwire - ended with a setup
screen, where nothing could be setup by me, so I thought these windows
were frozen and closed each time the whole terminal. Thank you!

Got this on a fresh kubuntu installation. Come from Mint15/KDE because i had
this bug there too.
Installed kubuntu , removed all hidden directorys on old Home-partition,,
remounted my /home-partition, installed Nvidia-Drivers and some software.
Akonadi keeps crashing with this d-bus message.
sec=ntlm works a bit for me, but i could not get write access (for not
root users) i am using
//10.10.1.12/andi /media/nas cifs
credentials=/root/,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlm
in /etc/fstab. On 12.10 it works as it should (read an write access to

I have the same problem with my Thinkpad R61 (Type 8919-A21). I'm using Ubuntu
Gutsy with all new updates so far.
My touchpad is also recognized as PS/2 Generic Mouse (see the attachment)
