I used to have this bug. Now with a clean install of 10.10 beta (2.6.35-20-generic kernel) i don't have this bug anymore. Before upgrading to Maverick, i managed to overcome this bug by switching off the 802.11n and kept only b/g. After the upgrade, i could use again the 802.11n and surf fast. --
