I'm using amd64 with maverick 10.10. sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins* worked for me, though I believe you will only need ugly multiverse. Anyways, it is import that you RESTART your Rhythmbox. Otherwise, it will still only use previously installed libraries. -- ipod will not update
