Public bug reported:

I've included the only time that the logs produced any output around the
time of the crashes; which was a soft lockup error.

Regardless, i've had a lot of instability ever since installing artful;
to me that suggests a kernel issue. Although lots of applications crash
for no discernible reason with nothing in the logs to suggest why, and
no pattern at all. Doing a clean install didn't help matters, although
it was necessary, my system was bricked by one of the crashes.

Ubuntu bug doesn't work correctly, at all. I selected "other problem"
and it brought up display issues; then brought of a dialog titled "text"
with the message "text" and asked me yes or no, i selected no, and that
didn't seem to matter. I selected that i didn't know if i could provide
more information, and in the report it listed that as willing to do
something with git, etc. It would be much easier to report bugs, if the
bug reporter worked correctly, for instance.
