Yes, syslog lines are often truncated, but I wasn't relying on the boot options line; when you're using DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer or equivalent, as you are, I would be able to see the debconf transactions involved in actually applying the preseeding, and they're simply not there. Reassigning to

I've found in the past that the line in syslog that logs the kernel boot options gets truncated. I've limited the kernel boot opts to see if the preseed was logged and it's not listed. After looking into this I believe this is a bug with Orchestra. Thanks for looking at it though. -- You
