the main problem i've got that this is my machine at work. so I need
skype and since the version 11.04 had some starting-hickups as well i'm
kinda pushed towards debian what i personal like as a server but not for
local development.

I did the exact same thing. Aptitude complained about multiple i386
packages so I had it remove them.
