but I can attest the same thing on my Nexus 5 (regardless of OS), touch screen
is erratic when I'm charging it to an actual socket
doesn't happen with powerbanks though

You can first try deleting Music apps data/cache in .local/share, .config
and .cache.
If that won't solve it, you try Phoenix Player from the store. Not sure how
good it is in playing but I use it for Podcast and it works fine.

I think many people got spoiled of getting the information of every step
Canonical does in the development like every OTA milestones. Of course
there's still things that they won't announce until it is final or decided

I guess that's still the issue about the browser/oxide where it
crashes/killed even when in use. Even some sites crashes/killed once it's
fully loaded. I'm on rc-proposed on my bq E5 and it's better than in OTA 14
but still not satisfying.
On Monday, December 26, 2016 6:03:47 PM PHT,
Yes, it was broken in OTA 13.
The next OTA will fix it.
If you are developing, try testing in rc-proposed. It's fine there now.

I agree on his first point. It's actually a general problem within the
system. There are many inconsistent elements and one of it is the one he

Thanks for the quick explanation.

This is correct but I'm not sure if this is already supported with OTA 12.
In rc-proposed or soon to be OTA 13, I'm sure it's there and it even has a
new indicator specific for keyboard layout just like in desktops. It will
always be displayed when in desktop mode and an external keyboard is

the city.

I agree on this. Isn't it the purpuse of using frameworks/UI toolkit
versions? I think this isn't a good practice. This has happended quite
frequently. You can't assume that all developers are following this list.
In the end the consumers are the one greatly impacted by this. They'll get
Is there a plan to release another hotfix?
The regression on Unity8 is really bad on my bq E5HD and I don't I can wait
until the end of May.
I might just switch to rc-proposed if that's the case but I don't think
everyone is willing to do that.
On Thursday, April 14, 2016 2:59:45 AM PHT,
I think the regression bug on Unity8 should be fixed immediately and
released as a hot fix. It's really a bad experience for the users. I'm
planning to do a full wipe of my bq E5 but looks like it won't help solving
the stutter issue.

This happens on my Nexus 7 as well. It's a hardware problem most probably.
I guess using your phone while charging is not recommended ;)

I also have the Nexus 7 and the side-stage has been working smoothly since

However, I also experienced an incomplete wizard. I only got the left swipe
I think you should send announcements to all developers that has apps in
the store. You have the email ads of us right? I don't think everyone are
subscribed or even reading mails from this mailist. This should be done for
important things like this.

I've been saying that. Almost all marketing images of Canonical for Ubuntu
Touch does not really show the real state of the OS. As much as I love
Ubuntu, I think it's fooling the people just to make it look good. Sorry, a
bit out of topic. I just can't help but say this again :D

This is true. I usually just put the cursor near to where I want to correct
and simply delete and retype because sometimes that's much faster than
putting cursor correctly. I think in Sailfish OS they have a thinkpad-like
trackpoint and it seems to work good. Maybe we can have something like
I think it was mentioned before that it is planned to have some kind of a
cloud service integrated on the phone.
This means you can sync files to any cloud service you like. Not sure
though if there's already work done for that and if we'll see it soon.

Well I believe it is really on the hardware. MX4 and bq phones android

I'm not sure if wireless display is supported.
Anyway, I think the development of wireless display has already started so
we can wait for that.
And to be honest,
What do you mean?
Those apps are not available on Ubuntu Touch.
Are you using Xmir? I have VLC on my Nexus 7 and yes video doesn't
work,only audio works.
Probably because currently it always switch to software mode.
