We are using hardware RAID, no multipath.
We did not preserve any of host or VM syslog or bootlog entries from
that time. The messages.log shows a kernel restart at 12:31:16 on VM01.

Transparent huge pages to yes in the kernel configuration?

Checked the package from -proposed and the typo is corrected in
/etc/init/vsftpd.conf (emply - empty). The packages upgrades ok, and
/var/run/vsftpd/empty gets created at startup.
Looks like the fix is ok in Lucid.

occured after upgrading to Natty. Installing seahorse-plugins did not
resolve the issue. Running ssh-add did resolve the issue.
