Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vsftpd

Scenario:
I had vsftpd running and setup well. Today I connected the Nokia 5233 mobile
phone to access internet. Internet work without any problem. However when I
have this phone conected to the computer and I login to ftp using any ftp
client..ubuntu crashes..I can hear the fans spinning but the screen goes blank
and does not come up until the computer is rebooted.

To pin point the issue I purged vsftpd and installed proftpd, but this
issue was not experienced. This issue is present with the default vsftpd
install as well.

Reproduce the issue:

This issue is reproduced every time vsftpd is running as the vsftpd
server and someone logs into ftp server using any ftp client that I have
tried.
