Happening to me too. I upgraded from 11.04 and I cannot make X start
anymore. My Nvidia is a GeForceM GT. I am lucky to have my Ubuntu CLI,
though, so I can keep on updating and upgrading.

It's been 1 month and no answer so based on the fact that removing the
cdemu daemon remedied the problem, I'm going to presume it was a vhba
issue and most likely already fixed upstream (current version works fine
on kernel 3.0.0 or prior). Marking as Invalid bug for xorg-server.

Some combination of the latest versions of X, qt, and the spotify app
make X crash on my machine every single time.
I login, start spotify, and about 15 seconds later X dies, and I see something
like this in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old:

Public bug reported:
During testing of Oneiric on the Latitude E6510 I tried both external
VGA and DisplayPort using the nvidia driver after installing
nvidia_current via Jockey and rebooting the machine.
Neither external port worked using the nVidia driver.
