In a moment the screen was black and the audio goes in a little and repetitive

Are there any plans on some sort of fix for this? I'm really hoping
there's something workable by 12.04. I'd imagine ubuntu currently has
significantly more touchpad users than touchscreen users and they should
not have significant missing functionality missing, especially for an
LTS release.
We are working on options for 12.04. I don't know exactly how things
will fall out, but my hope is that it can be configurable.

Current Precise still has this bug. I also tried with the current drm-
intel-next kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline
/drm-intel-next/2012-01-05-precise/ and I had the same problem.

nvidia-173 kernel module failed to build
In precise you can no longer use Sergio's package. So I've tried to
apply Sergio's patch to the newer driver... It didn't compile at
first... I tried to port it... I didn't understand a lot of what I was
doing, but I've just followed common sense... and it worked!
