12.6 installed. When I try to enable Tear Free option in the control
center it tells me my setup doesn't have enough video RAM. T500 features

What I have tried so far:
- Disabling KMS explicitly at grub prompt: no change
- Disabling vesafb: blank screen
- Disabling Plymouth: no change
Another thing I tried right now, was installing the AMD Catalyst 12.11
Beta 8 driver. So far (tested it with 6 or 7
I found a solution to the problem and now can start at my desired refresh rate
of 75 hz, I think it can works for all other people, open nvidia-settings then
go to X server Display configuration and click on tab X Screen then on
MetaMode there are three buttons where the first open a menu

same issue: max size for me is 1280x1024 Laptop. Interestingly, the

Why is this constantly being pushed? And being pushed at all, this is a
pretty critical issue that breaks quite a few laptops, I don't even
