So this is weird. I applied the latest updated and it says 2.36 not
2.37. The releasenotes also don't mention 2.37...
Unfortunately the problem still occurs with this BIOS

Still persists upstream.
But it only seems to happen when I watch netflix with google chrome
while undocking. Also, the audio continues to play after the xserver
crashed, i.e. I see the tty but still hear the audio.

After changing from a lower resolution to 4k bottom left of the screen
looks fine everything else flickers. When I restart X11 the whole screen

able to do some debug work and dig into the code if somebody tells me
what to do.

Now look at this.
VLC in fullscreen. Suddenly there is a column on the right that has
frozen. The line is at the same position so these issues could be
related.
(And yeah XMIr is now completely unuseable for me in trusty)

Now that unity system compositor will be installed by default soon. Wayland
should come with a Mir backend so desktop environments that use Wayland can run
