it doesn't help me but at least I understand some of the reasoning
behind this. I guess karmic gets a thumbs down from me based on this
regression alone. At lot of people installing Karmic for the first
time, are going to get the hump when there install fails at the
debdiff with 10_xulrunner-1.9.1.patch (closes this bug) and
12_fix_badatom_gtk_crash.patch seems to get google gadgets working in
gtk and qt versions

vkeybd has a default keyboard map which isn't very efficient. I wrote another
one. If you put it in ~/.vkeybdmap it gives you a better keyboard map. I
suggest that it becomes the default one.

I just got word that my request will be forwarded to the technical
department of Acer Germany. Hopefully this means the engineers will
finally get involved and be able to take this issue further.
