This device and configuration has been working perfectly for months -
then broke with the
linux kernel upgrade of a week or so ago. the kernel after that was a
little better, but still broken.
Im going to persist with this bug - as this is supposed to be a 'Long
Term Support Ubuntu
I just added a ppa for Seamonkey 2.0.1. I'm a huge fan of Seamonkey and
had the same problem with needing the amd64 version. I used the original
source code from seamonkey 2.0.1 and just had to add the debian build
files. It installs as seamonkey-2.0 and both versions of the browser
(1.1.17 and
How can I know if I correctly made the script executable? I'm not sure
I did that right. I tried to do it with the GUI from within Nautilus.

ls -lh on that file should show a section that says -rwxr-xr-x. the x's are
what you're looking for.
sudo chmod a+x
will definitely do it.
I used:
cd /etc/pm/sleep.d/
sudo wget http://launchpadlibrarian.net/22506354/90-gsynaptics-init
chmod a+x 90-gsynaptics-init

The problem seems the same of #458336 (that BTW has a very simple

Desktop icons get stacked on top of each other if they include both
symbolic links and launchers.
I expect it to display correctly but it displays them stacked on top of
