When opening a xml file from within the project window by double clicking or
right click open, the file is opened
in the default browser instead of opening in the eric editor like it did in
Ubuntu 9.10.

*This* happened because libmozjs.so isn't really a system-wide library,
libgnome-shell.so (needlessly) links against it, and then the gobject

I am noticing some other odd behaviour on this installationl. I set the
wallpaper and terminal program preferences in pcman, and as soon as I
log out and in again, they have disappeared. The desktop is black, and
pcman complains that no terminal program has been set for open in

In fact there was some bug due to other Karmic packages and some other in CD.
Most of these bug have been fixed a long time ago but we can't update
Cairo-Dock in Karmic, look at this bug #460001 :/

Sound device is plughw:0,0
Sound channels is 1
Video at 15fps (have not tried yet at 30fps)
Encode on the Fly is un-ticked

Full shots at every frame is ticked
By the way my above settings work on both a Laptop (Thinkpad R61 - all
Intel chipsets) and a desktop (ASUS/Nvidia Chipsets - onboard Nvidia
graphics). So nothing special about either of these machines.

Oliver found that this is a regression over the 2009.01 code we had
before.
From checking the differences it seems unlikely that its in actual fat
or fdos code; rather in mmc code.
I also get hangs when loading a larger chunk of blocks from SD cards
using mmc read; so we should investigate in
