If you want to renew the version on your own risk (some of these packages are
experimental) then this is what I did and it worked.
This guide assumes that you have build-essential and checkinstall installed.

I use the dvorak keyboard layout, and this affects me too.
I've found a workaround: when your desktop is up and running and the
gnome start-up process has completed, restart compiz (from a terminal,
compiz --replace ).

When I send mails from evolution-mapi to other places it either comes
out as all question marks or semi-legible with random insertions of

I described the steps that worked for me on Karmic. In order to satisfy
dependencies you have to install experimental debian packages (described
in step 3). If you manually uninstall older versions and then install
these packages in right order, dependencies will be satisfied.

able to read.
You found two problems with it. First, realaudio files are not in the whitelist
and thus are rejected. Second, when you add only rejected files, SoundConverter
