Suddently Ubuntu Karmic with current libopenal1 is freezing Blender while playing a game through it. libopenal1 1:1.8.466-2 I had it working with drivers=pulse,oss before when the install was fresh but tried jauntys Blender2.49b package in Karmic and now it only works while using the other

I second this. Jaunty libopenal1:1.4.272-2 does not work unless I use OSS drivers setting in /etc/openal/alsoft.conf pulse will not work for this old package, because it didn't get pulseaudio support until version 1.8+ Installed the karmic package libopenal1:1.8.466-2 +same version of dev on
