I have scheduled a task for today at 20.00h (record 1 hour of internet radio,
my standard use case).
Output of atq and at looks like this:

thanks, gnome-schedule just adds an 'at' task - and as you see it has
been scheduled correctly on 20:00, after that its up to 'atd' to start
the task when it should. So as far as I can see this is an atd bug.
You could try creating a task that does:
