Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wicd
wicd uses a fairly constant 2% CPU on my 1.5GHz Core2Duo machine. This is according to the KDE System Monitor (i.e. percentage of both processors' clock time added together). This is much too high and amounts to a significant performance hit. A similar bug was reported on the wicd bug tracker a couple of years ago, but was supposedly fixed in the latest version at that time. https://bugs.launchpad.net/wicd/+bug/242874.
