This really burns me because I dual boot Debian and Ubuntu (both using
the same /home partition) so I cannot do the Mozilla local install. I
really needed this package. I guess I'll have to wait until lucid...so
lame.

Vimperator does not work in lucid and karmic.
There are man pages provided here but they need to be added to the

The package currently has no man pages so I wrote some. You can find
them attached and if they could make it into the next release that would
be great. And if somebody could double check them then that would be
great too.

These three files should be placed in debian/ and then 'dh_installman'
added after 'dh_strip' in the debian/rules file for the man pages to be
added correctly. Also I don't know if the man pages belong in man1, man2
or man8 so could somebody please check that for me? Currently they are
.1 so man1.

I believe that this bug has been solved in lucid. Please see here
(http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/libsimage-dev) if you look at the
changelog you will see:

So I asked for help on the debian mailing lists and this package is
version 1.6.1-3 and debian is currently running 1.6.1-4, I suspect that
the guys at debian have already fixed this in their package (though I
have not checked myself). I would reccommend looking at 1.6.1-4 first
before doing
Public bug reported:
I am trying to rebuild fuppes UPnP Media Server of Karmic and the
problem is that libsimage-dev wrongfully includes libogg.la:
$ grep libogg.la /usr/lib/*.la
/usr/lib/libsimage.la:dependency_libs=' /usr/lib/libsndfile.la
/usr/lib/libFLAC.la -L/usr/lib
I uninstalled libsimage-dev and then ran ./configure make sudo
make install on fuppes again and it worked perfectly; like it did in
Hardy Heron. So the problem lies in libsimage-dev for sure.
