one more doubt, documentation says - to read HDFS file, we need to add dependency <groupId>org.apache.hadoop</groupId> <artifactId>hadoop-client</artifactId> <version>1.0.1</version> </dependency> How to know HDFS version, I just guess 1.0.1 and it worked. Next task is to run scala code with sbt.
