Hello,
Is there any SMPP parameter that will prevent SMSc from trying to

Carriers SMSc is playing up and resending SMS assuming that they

help the SMSc not to resend.

On what situation do you want to apply this? During a rich content

Hi,
As new user I recommend to read the user guide first. By default Kannel
will search its config file in /etc/kannel.conf. You need to create it
manually by reffering the user guide, it's not difficult as long if you
have experienced managing a conf file.

Hi folks,
I thought I read somewhere that kannel can use several different methods to
send/receive SMS messages including GSM modems but also, something about doing
it over the PSTN and/or TCP/IP?
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hi and thanks for the reply.
Iam not sure about the PSTN thing. But u can use SMPP (short message peer to
peer) over kannel. it basically use TCP/IP conneciton to ur SMPP providers
network (SMSC) and from there u can route ur sms's. kannel supports SMPP
v.3.3 and v.3.4
