This was inadverently sent to the wrong e-mail address. Sorry.
I tried to mount cds and usb sticks (both under gui and cli) I get a
message to the effect that the device wasn't available. How do I
correct this?
The system runs under 86_64 which has been fully updated.

From what you are saying, the only way to do a custom install for a

I didn't say that at all. You can use a DVD as the install source. You
can put the ISO, rather than the install tree, on the hard
Nope I've had the same bloody issue for two days now. I thought a reboot
would fix it, but it didn't.

after one of last update, sorry I dunno which one, let's say by 2 days and I
update every day, I have to click more than 1 time on windows on
kde plasma panel.
Often double click is enough.
Am I the only one, here, to have this issue?

I'm not sure if this has enough granularity but give it a try:
$ cat /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info
Thanks,

Well I guess the lack of responses means that without taking extraordinary
steps, I'm pretty much screwed.
Thanks for the idea though Tom. I'm not sure if it's worth going to that
much trouble though, at least for now.
Having the partition aligned to the erasure blocks probably gives the most

Unetbootin fails on fedora 22:

Ran into the problem with unetbootin not working on fedora 22, where it
worked fine on 21. The solution I found was running it with this option.
QT_X11_NO_MITSHM=1 unetbootin
Was something to do with a change in QT support?? But that made it work
for me.

Works just fine here on F22 under both KDE and GNOME. If started as a normal
user you
will get a prompt for the root PW.
