*Role: Incident Security Engineer Required* *Washington, DC Metro Area* *Status; H1 B/US Citizen/GC Holder* *Long Term* Incident response engineer required should have experience in one or other system security information and event management (SIEM) Network intrusion detection systems (NIDS) Intrusion prevention system. Contractor will participate in a 24/7 on-call operation that monitors for and responds to security events , including working with external entities, where necessary.Contractor will respond to information security incidents, including internal and external events and targeted threats. Contractor will develop internal tools used to respond to incidents (e.g., forensic toolkits) or recommend the purchase of specific tools Contractor will identify and execute on projects that improve our intrusion detection and incident response capabilities Contractor will prepare recommendations, including language where appropriate, for updates to or creation of incident response procedures. Contractor will prepare weekly status report that will include: a. Work completed b. Work planned for the next 1+ week(s) c. Risks d.
