Oh, Robert, that is s walled garden of you. Tut-tut.
I don't get the idea that the vlogosphere generally operates under
walled garden mode.
Take Node 101, for example.
If you've got the passion to make a Vloggercon or Node 101 anywhere in
the world, I venture to say no one will stop you.

Carl wanted to have vloggercon in Ohio, that probably will not work,
but it does not

you know, Andreas I think that is a pretty elitist thing to say,
that there can be only one vloggercon or that Ohio is a shit place
to gomaybe it would be a bit harder to get to and maybe you
could not go, I maean I couldn't go to the last 2 events in SF
because well
You want to get the most people there? This event would be inclusive not
exclusive.
Call it the Midwest Media Summit.

Oh Canada!
I have to selfishly back this suggestion. We're sort of culturally (sadly,
not geographically) halfway between the US and Europe. Except Calgary, where
I live. It's like a cowboy theme park.

there will be an event in Ohio this year for Vlogging!

FWIW, I am a very active alumna of an international school in India, a large

parts of the world also like to attend. So they move them around from year
Money spinner? LOL. We had a donation of $2000 from Node 101, which paid for
an apartment in Milan to sleep six people for a week (1500 euros) - except
they didn't sleep much, what with the high-speed internet access (60 euros)
and all-night conversations (no charge).

Vloggercon 07 in Ohio, woot!! lets do it!!! it's only 11 hours in the
air for me. Maybe this time I get to see some real Americans, lol.
Mind you wait until June/Julyish then I will have enough money to do it!

Ohio is easy to say, but a shit place to go to for those of us from

cheaper!!!

I think you're better off keeping the conversation here and just

I know Columbus well.
The problem is there's not enough of a critical mass in any one city

There are some folks in the Carolinas (though not a lot) but I know
for me, the possibility of going to Ohio for Vloggercon '07 is much

Hey, I just took a look. Columbus would be about an 8 hour drive for
me from Ontario, Canada... very feasible. Drive there, pitch a tent...
Yup, works for me.
I'd like to also support the a Ohio location for vloggercon07.
