Good discussion (since I've been thinking about this, too!). With standard
video, I've been slowly moving to 640x480. I find it's just bigger enough to
get much better clarity but still stay relatively small (for the short
videos I do, anyway).
I'm more confused with the 16:9 resolution sizes.
I output to h.264 format, using the settings on FreeVlog.org and they
are compatible with my iPod.
I've since picked up an Elgato Turbo.264 (http://tinyurl.com/2jp25o)
which hardware outputs to H.264 for iPod, iPhone and AppleTV formats.
I guess my point is, the h.264 could - perhaps should - be
