I posted this on the post at my blog and on Veoh.
David Howell asked some questions about the interview so I posted some
clarifications on
the Videoblogging list.
Here they are:
On January 1, 2004 I decided to figure out how to put video on a blog and did
it. I was
unaware of anyone else
My first video posting on my website was in Feb, 2004 - way behind all
the others that posted on blogs. I didn't have any idea of how to
actually do a blog, but I really wanted to show folks what I was doing
in video, and also needed a place to express myself artistically -
since I had been doing
Howdy all,
Actually there was alot of video blogs prior to 2004.
However, the most common term for them was that'll take too long NOT NEARLY
as catchy as a video blog.
The most common term for those attempting this feat back then was whataya
nuts... not nearly as effective a term as Vlogger
I've loved your work for a while now. You never cease to impress me
with what you are doing and how you actually do it.
Thank you. Dont stop!

Nice Dig the Mohawk and the Short bus. Line of fire in the
gauntlet footage, gutsy. Have you met (not run into) the Hug Mobile?
Guessing you are more of an any way the wind/news blows/goes there you
are, then by strict itinerary. Oh man ... real freedom ...
I like the name,
Hey Steve, interesting interview. I was unaware that you started in
public access.
In the interview, why did you say there werent any videoblogs in 2004?
Did you mean as of January 1st, 2004 that there werent any videoblogs?
Did you mean sites that only had video as their content in 2004?
If
Lastly. You said, in the interview, that you coined the term
videoblog. This site, http://poddev.comitar.com/2006/08/ says you
called it a video podcast. On your site, you called it a video
podcast as well.

Dear friends
My first post (on archive.org) was a new year postcard called :
En 2004 apprenons à faire des miracles
( In 2004 whe must have to learn to do miracles)
After Vlogsoup was the first vlog to talk about my work
( crossed, uncrossed)
Today when you type video art on facebook you
find
That's cool.
I generally get confused by what people actually say in an interview
that a large amount of people view and what they meant to say. Those
issues are rarely revisited in an interview done after the fact for
clarification.
Do you think that the Viral Veoh will post a follow-up
The beauty of being honest and forthcoming.
I was just thinking that you might want to take the first step in
providing truthful information since they were your words to begin with.
Hey...it's your conscience. Not mine.
