I have been using theora for a few years now
but people keep asking for mp4 versions of the videos for use on their media
player and business want the video in some windows-centric format or on a
CD/DVD (but don't stand the file format/codec)
I see no reason why you couldnt offer both

This is all very, very good, but there need to be a 'marketing' strategy and
tactical plan to go along with the development strategy, or else I fear for
the result. Word of mouth isn't good enough.
