Question: I'm nearly done with a political mashup that combines a lot
of news clips. Some of the sound volumes on the clips are pretty low.
There *must* be a way to bump up the sound levels, but I haven't found it.
When I open the clips in Quicktime, they are already at the maximum sound level.

Run the audio track through Doug Kaye's Levelator (
http://www.gigavox.com/levelator)? I am not an expert with it, but have had
some success with multiple audio sources in podcasts.
