Hi Daniel, did you and your roommate try a regular swipe, or swiping with two or three fingers to switch apps? My guess is that the feature is available to everyone but only requires four fingers if VoiceOVer is running. Best, Anna > On Mar 24, 2016, at 9:53 AM, Daniel Miller

Hi, Sighted users simply slide their finger from left to right to change the volume. As far as the 4-finger swipe gesture, the AppleVis podcast is incorrect. I live with a sighted roommate, and we both can confirm that gesture is only available when VoiceOver is running. Sent from my iPad >

Hi Chris, This is how you put an iPhone in DFU mode, which is what I think you're asking for. I assume the process is the same on an iPad. Connect the iPad to your computer. Hold down the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds. Then release the Power button, but keep holding down the Home

Hi. Off-line dictation is available on the 6S, 6S fplus, and iPad Pro. It's not available on any other iOS device. Also, you do not need to download any off-line dictation files, it just works. Sent from my iPhone > On Mar 23, 2016, at 1:45 AM, Jennie Facer wrote: > >

That is interesting. This was in a Mac World article. You checked in Settings, General, Keyboard? Very odd that they would be that specific and it not be there. Did you double tap on dictation? Richard (Sent from my iPhone 5S) > On Mar 24, 2016, at 7:04 AM, Jennie Facer

Hi Carol, Yes, you do the swipe from within the app. If you have your phone in portrait orientation, I find it works well to have my hand turned so my four fingers are in a row, straight up the screen, parallel to the long sides of the phone. Then, I flick all of them together in the same

I heard back from Sendero very quickly. Apparently, I just had a bad download, which I should have thought of, but deleting the app and reinstalling it fixed the issue. So if you have it, install it. If you don't and want to try it out, apparently there is now a 30 day free trial. Here is what

audio ducking, a possible bug fix and maybe a new feature?

Thanks to the question about Audio Ducking, I did some digging in settings and discovered what I think is a bug fix and possibly a new setting, at least new to me. BTW, the only way to adjust audio ducking is by putting it on the rotor. First, the bug fix. Before 9.3, Siri would never work

I know you can go into Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> VoiceOver -> Roter and add audio ducking to the roter so you can then toggle it on and off with a flick up or down of a finger. I'm not sure if there's another way to get to it or not. On 24/03/16 05:43, Walter Harper wrote:

No, I'm pretty sure the roter is a VoiceOver feature, and I believe it's only documented in the VoiceOver section of the manual. I don't think, when you perform the roter jesture, that anything on the screen changes, so there'd be nothing for a non-VoiceOver user to interact with at that
