wsjt-x, the root problem was a buggy USB 3.0 driver for the internal
card in the machine (i7/32GB/Win10). I updated the driver and that

is a somewhat partial and subjective view, but they certainly increase
the S/N ratio considerably for human ear reception of extremely weak
signals *when terminated correctly*. Usual gain is around -20 dBi, but
