I used to... but moved to Mac so don't anymore. I can't remember the
nature of the difficulties, though, it's been a while.

Hi Taylor
OK, you're right, it's a combo: fake fontspec errors in XeLaTeX and the
breakdown of go-to functions in TeXWorks, are they related? I don't
know. I cannot discern which one is to be blamed, for I typeset stuff in
XeTeX through TeXWorks, I don't know how to use raw XeTeX nor do I use

Dear Vafa Khalighi and Petr Tomasek,
Thank you very much for your instructive and detailed answers. Strangely
enough, entering ZWJ with the keyboard, as Vafa has suggested, does not work
with my persian keyboard which is the one which comes with Mac OS 10.6.8 (I am

My apologies. You wanted ZWNJ. With the keyboard layout I mentioned, that
is entered using `. See attached image.

lots of ZWNJs. Indeed using ZWNJ in Persian typography is a must. F
If you use Persian ISIRI−2901 keyboard on Mac, then SHIFT+SPACE gives you
ZWNJ.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to ask, please, if anybody knows how to enter the zero width
joined character (ZWJ, unicode-point 200D) by a persian and/or arabic Mac
keyboard-layout. After some searching in the internet, I was not able to find
any answer (while you can learn that the Z
