Hi,
Thanks for making great anti-spam software, I had been using SpamBayes
for quite some time and it helped me a lot. However,...
I had to make a clean install, using:
Win XP
Outlook 2003
SB 1.1a1
When i run Outlook, i get 2 error msgs, see attached log.
It says There was an error initializing the Spam plugin.
Spam filtering has been disabled. Please re-configure and re-enable this
plugin.
Error details:
Failed to load bayes database.
Plugin is listed in COM-plugins and is not listed in forbidden items
(whatever is the english original of this) under Help->about...
No toolbar appears.
Spambayes is not listed in the toolbars, when i go to customize toolbars.
I also tried (and got always the same attached messages):
1/ Completely remove the database file and run outlook
(default_bayes_database.db)
2/ copy over my (good) old database file
3/ reinstall outlook
4/ reinstall spambayes
5/ googled for "Failed to load bayes database" and similar and found
only one thread of what seemed the same problem but no solution.
6/ Went through the troubleshooting guide.
What to do?
