How soon do you turn the power off ? Two seconds ? Ten seconds ? One minute ? What type of hard disk do you have ? Is it a rotating disk or a solid state drive ? Is the drive you have the database on the boot drive of the computer ? If you try to make a database on an external drive (Flash drive ? External rotating drive ?) instead of the drive you were using, do you see the same problem ?
