I have an account on Pidgin and I forgot my password.

You will need to use the password retrieval features of your IM
service. Pidgin holds these passwords, but does not deal with changing
them.

If you look in the .purple directory under your user directory, you may
find them in the accounts.xml file if Pidgin is set to remember them.
So look in C;\Documents and Settings\AppData\.purple\accounts.xml
assuming you are using Windows.

Now you see, based on her credentials and everything, I thought *maybe* this user just needed her account on the actual pidgin.im site reset (i.e. the Trac wiki), thus didn't provide the answer.

If the answer you gave is the one she was looking for, I'm going to be really sad.
