Ditto, though for me the problem only began yesterday, 23 Apr. I've noticed the same behavior on Digsby, both using XMPP and native Facebook protocol. Also, a few random Facebook friends do appear in Pidgin and Digsby from time to time, but the usually disappear after a short while.
