About a month ago I was no longer able to connect to our internal Cisco
XMPP server.  Nobody else is having this problem

I have removed and re-installed pidgin including removing the ~/.purple
folder.

I am able to connect fine on other machines and VMs without a problem.  The
other machines ask if I want to accept a self signed cert when initially
connecting to the account.
