Hello
Today I've been unable to connect to the Freenode IRC network apparently
because de SASL negotiation is failing.
The last thing I see in the logs is (the rest is attached):

So it looks like Freenode started accepting the EXTERNAL mechanism which I
don't know how to configure in Pidgin.
Until now, I've been using a password which got sent using the PLAIN
mechanism. The last time I had to debug the SASL exchange[1] all the
previous mechanism were rejected by Freenode until PLAIN was tried.
Anybody else having trouble with IRC?
