Hi Robert,

The .purple directory holds everything about your account that you would need.  Since it's possible for Pidgin to load config from a different folder with command line options, maybe double check what folder is being used by Pidgin by first opening up the debug log (Help->Debug Window) then opening the preferences screen (Tools->Preferences), make a change to a setting then change it back, then wait for the " util: Writing file prefs.xml to directory" message to show up in the debug log.

I open the debug window and right away I see:

(17:21:10) *util:* Writing file prefs.xml to directory /home/rgm/.purple
(17:21:10) *util:* Writing file /home/rgm/.purple/prefs.xml

Cheers,
Eion

I have set up Pigdin on my Fedora30 system.  Worked well for

Now I have to migrate all the settings to my new Fedora32 system.

I have copied my ~/.purple directory from the old to new system.

But when I start Pigdin, it says no accounts set up.  When I go into
Account Manager it shows no accounts.

But if I look at ~/.purple/accounts.xml, I see my account information.

How do I properly migrate my settings between systems?

    thanks
