I'm not sure what you mean by "auto tagging." If you use PDF Maker to
publish to PDF, then you can specify if you want to create a tagged document
or not. (Note: Not sure about other apps, but tagging while PDFing a Word
doc dramatically increases the time it takes to PDF. PDF it first, then tag
it, and it'll go much faster.) AFAIK, if the app prints using Distiller,
there is no way to automatically tag as the PDF is created.

Another thing to consider (and I don't know if Quark can do this) is whether
your graphics will include alt text. Word doesn't pick up alt text for
graphics so to be 100% compliant, you have to manually add the text to all
graphics in the tagged PDF. However, if the graphic is, essentially,
superfluous (meaning, it's an example of what was just described, as in a
procedure), then you may be able to get away with not adding the alt text.
