TRADING SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE- Risk, Pricing, Real-Time, Execution etc FORMAL SPEC: The client is seeking an experienced Systems Developer/Analyst to participate in the implementation of software solutions in the area of Compliance Management. The software environment consists of a combination of custom-built systems and a variety of vendor applications. The position will have a significant amount of interaction with the hedge fund*s Portfolio Managers and Compliance Department. The chosen candidate would ideally be familiar with the implementation of Compliance reporting and monitoring solutions to address regulatory requirements and the integration of such reports and monitoring solutions into a hedge fund environment with heterogeneous systems and market data sources. Additionally, the chosen candidate will be familiar with a broad range of financial instruments (Fixed Income, interest rate derivatives, currencies, commodities, equities, credit, mortgage-backed securities, etc.). The successful candidate will also have proven experience in building sophis ticated systems using programming and scripting languages in MS Windows environments (specifically C#, WCF, WPF and/or ASP.NET<http://asp.net/>). *Note:* This is a consulting position; the engagement is expected to last through 2010 Responsibilities * Understanding the needs of a hedge fund*s Compliance department, Portfolio Managers and other financial professionals, and translating those requirements into efficient technology solutions. * Working on all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements/analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance). *Requirements ** 5-8 years experience developing financial applications at a first tier hedge fund, asset management company, or investment bank. * Broad and deep knowledge of: - Compliance regulatory reporting requirements (13F, 13D, international regualtory reporting etc). - Financial instruments (Fixed Income, interest rate derivatives, currencies, commodities, equities, credit, mortgage-backed securities, etc.). * Experience with trading floor and accounting environments; Murex strongly preferred but not essential. * Significant Microsoft Windows development skills; .NET, C#, Winforms, WPF and LINQ. * Development experience within a service-oriented architecture (SOA); Web Services, WCF. * Relational database programming and design experience (MS SQL Server and/or Sybase); strong SQL and development experience with database objects. * Experience with ETL package development; SSIS preferred. * Server-side reporting platform experience; SSRS preferred. * Proficient with desktop automation and MS Office; Excel, VBA/VB. * Solid programming and project practices. * Excellent analytical and communication skills (verbal and written). * BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field is required; MS preferred.
