ORACLE DBA Job Type: 8 months Location: Austin, TX Rate: DOE Required Skills: (Oracle OCP/OCM certification a plus) * 8 years experience with Oracle database administration to include Oracle 10g and 11g * 6 years experience with PeopleSoft database administration, including PeopleCode, Data Mover Scripts and Application * 4 years experience with PeopleSoft HR and/or Financials experience * 4 years experience with PeopleSoft experience with implementations, installations and/or upgrades * 4 years experience with Designer SQL and shell script development * Ability to interact and communicate well with functional team leads and agency personnel * Knowledge of software development methodologies, design and implementations WORKER DUTIES * Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field. * Create and maintain Oracle databases for use in the PeopleSoft application. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance, development, acceptance, test and production environments. * Previous experience maintaining PeopleSoft Oracle databases. * Previous experience in testing and implementing software related to the administration, monitoring and operation of Oracle databases. * Diagnose and resolve production and non-production database problems related to PeopleSoft databases. * Perform rotating on-call duties related to database support (24 x 7). * Participate in Disaster Recovery processes/tests as required. * Communicate effectively and correctly in writing and verbally on a variety of business matters. * Perform related Oracle DBA work as assigned. * Must follow agency database standards and guidelines.
