I haven't reviewed the actual content of the test cases, but one thing that
struck my mind when skimming through is that you're requiring people to use
*gnome-terminal* specifically. Just say "terminal" and it's clear that you
mean any terminal emulator or a virtual console. Or even drop the whole
sentence and just say "run command foo".
