cursor dissapears when I type

Bug description:
I'm using version Ubuntu 23.10 (gnome), and when I type in the default
terminal the cursor dissapears when I'm typing and I have the cursor
placed on the terminal window, this also happens when Im using
IntellyJ IDEA community
